This 1897 farmhouse has retained all its original charm. Its history is engraved in the stone that surrounds it, and further recounted by the ancient whispers of the oak woods that embrace it. These stories, glimpses of history and legends, echo from the verdant hills of the Itria Valley which ensconce it.

This story is synonymous with “Apulian tradition”: you can read it in every detail of the historic stone Masseria and the small village of Trulli -comprised of 14 original cones, and you can relive it in every experience we offer

Its optimal position – easily reachable, because it’s centrally located between the two main airports of Puglia: about 60 km from Bari and about 70 km from Brindisi airport – will allow you to visit the most treasured sites in a few minutes by car.

Among the closest: Noci, known for its excellent food and wine, Castellana Grotte, famous for its millenary caves, Alberobello and Trulli and their UNESCO heritage, Locorotondo and Cisternino, among the 100 most beautiful villages in Italy, Polignano a Mare and Monopoli, picturesque towns overlooking the sea, between cliffs of clear, sparkling water and golden sandy beaches as far as the eye can see.

You can also reach the wonderful Castel del Monte and Trani with its cathedral, Matera, the city of stones and Ostuni, the white city, in less than an hour.

"We stayed in Materiis only 2 days, but were 2 of the best days in Apulia. The accommodation in typical Trulli immersed in the beautiful Apulia countryside added to our stay in charm and magic. We wanted to visit the surrounding nice villages of Alberobello, Martina Franca and Locorotondo, but since we enjoyed so much the quietness and beauty of Materiis we finally stayed most of the time relaxing in and we went only in Alberobello, that by the way is really a treasure not to miss. The Trullo is so well furnished and everywhere is so nicely manicured. Everything is detailed. Elena, the host, is very helpful since the pre-check in time and plenty of information if you need. Noci, the main village, is at only 4 Km and has very good restaurants with the fantastic local foods. Breakfast is served in the main house, another jewel of Apulia countryside style, and is sumptuous and rich in salty and sweet for all tastes. I would really recommend Materiis for couples, families and for longer stays. Easy to reach the beaches and many historical sites."
